Orange Creamsicle Truffles

Orange Creamsicle Truffles are dreamy, bite-sized treats that taste just like the classic frozen orange-and-vanilla popsicle — but in creamy, candy form. These are perfect for summer parties, holiday platters, or just keeping in the fridge for a sweet citrusy hit.


🍊 Orange Creamsicle Truffles Recipe

🧁 Ingredients:

  • 1 (11 oz) bag white chocolate chips (about 2 cups)

  • ¼ cup heavy cream

  • 1 teaspoon orange zest (fresh is best)

  • ½ teaspoon orange extract (or more to taste)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

  • Optional: orange gel food coloring (a few drops)

  • ½ cup powdered sugar or finely shredded coconut (for rolling)


🔥 Instructions:

  1. Melt the Chocolate:

    • In a heatproof bowl, combine white chocolate chips and heavy cream.

    • Microwave in 20-second bursts, stirring between each, until smooth.

    • (Alternatively, melt over a double boiler.)

  2. Flavor It:

    • Stir in orange zest, orange extract, vanilla, and salt.

    • Add food coloring if desired for a more “creamsicle” look.

    • Let the mixture cool slightly, then cover and refrigerate until firm (about 2–3 hours or overnight).

  3. Roll the Truffles:

    • Scoop chilled mixture into 1-inch balls.

    • Roll quickly between your hands, then roll in powdered sugar or coconut.

    • Place on parchment-lined tray and chill again to firm up.

  4. Serve or Store:

    • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week, or freeze for longer.


🍦 Optional Coating Ideas:

  • Dip in melted white chocolate and sprinkle with zest or orange sprinkles

  • Roll in crushed vanilla wafers or graham crackers

  • Drizzle with dark chocolate for contrast
