1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional, for depth)

-
Pat ribs dry. In a small bowl, mix paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
-
Rub the seasoning all over the ribs.
-
-
Optional Sear:
-
For extra flavor, sear ribs in a hot skillet with a little oil for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Not required, but recommended.
-

Add to Slow Cooker:
-
Layer sliced onions on the bottom (if using).
-
Place ribs in the slow cooker.
-
In a bowl, mix barbecue sauce and Worcestershire (if using), then pour over the ribs.

-
Cook:
-
Cover and cook on LOW for 7–8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours, until ribs are tender and pull apart easily.

-
For sticky, caramelized ribs: transfer cooked ribs to a baking sheet, brush with more BBQ sauce, and broil for 3–5 minutes.
