Sausage Crescent Rolls

Here’s a super easy and delicious recipe for Sausage Crescent Rolls—perfect for breakfast, brunch, parties, or snacks. They’re buttery, flaky, cheesy, and full of savory sausage!


🥐 Sausage Crescent Rolls

🛒 Ingredients (Makes 8 rolls)

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough (8-count)

  • ½ lb (225g) breakfast sausage (pork, turkey, or plant-based), cooked and crumbled

  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (or any cheese you like)

  • Optional: 1 tbsp cream cheese or Dijon mustard for extra flavor

  • Optional: egg wash (1 egg beaten with 1 tbsp water) for a golden finish


👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Cook sausage
    In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease and let cool slightly.

  3. Prepare crescent dough
    Unroll the dough and separate into 8 triangles.

  4. Fill & roll

    • Spoon about 1–2 tablespoons of cooked sausage onto the wide end of each triangle.

    • Sprinkle with shredded cheese.

    • Optional: add a small smear of cream cheese or mustard.

    • Roll up tightly from the wide end to the point.

  5. Bake

    • Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet, point side down.

    • Brush with egg wash if desired.

    • Bake for 10–13 minutes, or until golden brown.

  6. Serve warm
    Great on their own or with a side of scrambled eggs, fruit, or dipping sauce.


🔄 Variations

  • Spicy: Add jalapeños or pepper jack cheese

  • Sweet & Savory: Add a tiny dollop of maple syrup inside or drizzle on top

  • Mini Rolls: Cut each triangle in half to make bite-sized appetizers
