Here’s a simple and delicious Strawberry Banana Pudding recipe — a fruity twist on the classic Southern banana pudding. It’s creamy, layered, and perfect for summer gatherings or just a sweet treat at home.


🍓🍌 Strawberry Banana Pudding Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Pudding Layer:

  • 1 (5.1 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix

  • 2 cups cold milk

  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1½ cups heavy whipping cream (or use Cool Whip for shortcut)

For the Layers:

  • 1 box vanilla wafers or shortbread cookies

  • 2–3 ripe bananas, sliced

  • 1½ cups strawberries, sliced

  • Optional: crushed graham crackers or strawberry preserves (for layering)


Instructions:

  1. Make the Pudding:
    In a large bowl, whisk together the instant pudding mix and cold milk until smooth. Let it sit for 2 minutes to thicken.

  2. Add Condensed Milk and Vanilla:
    Stir in the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract until fully combined.

  3. Whip the Cream:
    In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the pudding mixture until smooth and fluffy. (Or fold in Cool Whip if using.)

  4. Layer the Dessert:
    In a trifle dish or a 9×13 baking dish, layer as follows:

    • Cookies

    • Banana slices

    • Strawberry slices

    • Pudding mixture
      Repeat until you run out of ingredients, finishing with pudding on top.

  5. Chill:
    Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to let the flavors meld and cookies soften.

  6. Serve:
    Garnish with extra sliced fruit, cookie crumbs, or a drizzle of strawberry syrup.


💡 Tips:

  • Use firm, ripe bananas to avoid browning too quickly.

  • Macerate strawberries with a bit of sugar for extra sweetness and juiciness.

  • For a twist, add a layer of strawberry jam or strawberry puree.
