Posted on June 22, 2025

Here’s a quick and flavorful recipe for Tortilla Wraps with Ground Beef—perfect for lunch, dinner, or meal prep! Think of it as a cross between a taco and a burrito, customizable and easy to whip up.

🌯 Ground Beef Tortilla Wraps

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Servings: 4–6 wraps

🥩 Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef

  • 1 tbsp olive oil (if needed)

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tsp ground cumin

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1/2 tsp chili powder (optional for heat)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce or salsa

  • 4–6 large flour tortillas

🧀 Optional Fillings (customize to your taste):

  • Shredded lettuce or spinach

  • Sliced tomatoes or cherry tomatoes

  • Shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, etc.)

  • Sour cream or Greek yogurt

  • Avocado or guacamole

  • Jalapeños or hot sauce

  • Corn, beans, or sautéed peppers

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Cook the beef:
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon (5–7 minutes). Drain excess fat if needed.

  2. Add aromatics & seasoning:
Add onion and garlic, cook for 2–3 minutes until softened.
Stir in cumin, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Add tomato sauce or salsa and simmer for another 3–5 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning.

  3. Warm the tortillas:
Heat tortillas in a dry skillet for 15–30 seconds per side, or microwave them for 10–15 seconds covered with a damp towel.

  4. Assemble the wraps:
Spoon the beef mixture into the center of each tortilla. Top with your favorite fillings. Fold in the sides and roll up tightly.

  5. Optional – Toast the wraps:
Place the filled wrap seam-side down in a hot skillet for 1–2 minutes per side to crisp and seal them.

🔁 Variations:

  • Tex-Mex Style: Add black beans, corn, and Mexican cheese blend.

  • Mediterranean: Use ground beef with garlic, oregano, feta, and tzatziki.

  • Meal Prep: Cool and wrap in foil for grab-and-go lunches.

Would you like a low-carb version (lettuce wraps or low-carb tortillas) or a spicy chipotle version? I can tailor it for your taste!
