4 large croissants (fresh or day-old)

4–8 slices deli ham (thinly sliced, about 1/2 lb)

4 slices Swiss cheese (or Gruyère, cheddar, or provolone)

1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional, but delicious)

2 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)

Poppy seeds or everything bagel seasoning (optional topping)
🔪 Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Assemble croissants:

Slice each croissant in half horizontally (like a sandwich).

Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on the bottom half (optional).

Layer with 1–2 slices of ham and 1 slice of cheese.
