🍌 Classic Banana Bread

3 ripe bananas, mashed (about 1¼ cups)

½ cup melted butter (or oil)

¾ cup brown sugar or granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1½ cups all-purpose flour

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment.

Mix wet ingredients:
In a large bowl, mash bananas. Stir in melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined. -
Add dry ingredients:
In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Add to the wet mixture and stir just until no dry streaks remain. Fold in nuts or chocolate if using. -
Bake:
Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. -
Cool & serve:
Let cool in pan for 10–15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
