You got it! 🍽️ Hamburger Green Bean Casserole is a delicious, hearty dish that blends seasoned ground beef, tender green beans, creamy sauce, and a golden, cheesy or crispy topping. It’s comfort food with pantry staples — perfect for busy weeknights or potlucks.


🍲 Hamburger Green Bean Casserole

📋 Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen green beans (or 1 can, drained)

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken)

  • ½ cup milk or sour cream

  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional, adds depth)

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • 1½ cups crispy fried onions or crushed crackers (for topping)


🔧 Instructions

✅ 1. Preheat Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

✅ 2. Cook the Ground Beef

  • In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until beef is browned.

  • Drain excess grease.

  • Stir in garlic, cook for 1 minute more.

✅ 3. Make the Casserole Mix

  • In a large bowl, combine:

    • Cooked beef mixture

    • Cream of mushroom soup

    • Milk or sour cream

    • Worcestershire (if using)

    • Green beans

    • 1 cup cheddar cheese

    • Salt & pepper to taste

✅ 4. Assemble and Bake

  • Pour mixture into the greased baking dish.

  • Top with remaining ½ cup of cheddar cheese.

  • Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until bubbly and hot.

✅ 5. Add Crispy Topping

  • Sprinkle fried onions or crushed crackers over the top.

  • Return to oven for 5–10 more minutes, until golden and crispy.


🧠 Tips & Variations

  • Fresh green beans? Blanch for 3–4 minutes before using.

  • Add cooked rice or pasta to stretch it further.

  • Want more veggies? Add mushrooms, corn, or bell peppers.

  • Use ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.

  • Spice it up with a little hot sauce or Cajun seasoning.
