Ingredients (Serves 6–8):
For the base:

1½ lbs ground beef

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp paprika or smoked paprika

6–8 slices cooked bacon, crumbled

1/4 cup dill pickles, chopped (optional but adds that classic burger tang)
For the sauce:

4 large eggs

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup cream cheese, softened

1 tbsp yellow mustard
-
1 tbsp sugar-free ketchup (optional)

1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce (or coconut aminos for paleo/keto)
For the topping:

1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

Extra bacon or pickles for garnish (optional)
🔪 Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Cook the meat mixture:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned and no longer pink. Drain excess fat. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Stir in crumbled bacon and chopped pickles if using. Transfer to the prepared baking dish. -
Make the egg sauce:
In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, cream cheese, mustard, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth. -
Assemble the casserole:
Pour the egg mixture evenly over the beef. Top with shredded cheddar cheese. -
Bake:
Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is bubbly and golden. -
Cool & serve:
Let sit for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Top with extra bacon, pickles, or even a drizzle of sugar-free burger sauce if you like.
